2cSugar
2tsTurmeric
1cFlour, plain
2qtVinegar

Mix sugar, turmeric and flour in paste. Cut or mince melon. Slice onions into pan. Sprinkle with salt and leave overnight.

Drain and cover with vinegar. Boil for one hour. Add paste and boil for another 20 minutes.
